Job Description

Reputable Defense Litigation Law Firm in Century City is Seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join their team!

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, format, and file legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, motions, appellate filings, and court submissions.
  • Manage e-filing processes and maintain accurate court records and case files.
  • Conduct legal research, pre-claim investigations, and initial case assessments.
  • Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Assist attorneys with discovery, including interrogatories, document requests, privilege logs, and discovery indexing.
  • Organize and maintain exhibits, evidence, pleadings, briefs, appendices, and case documentation.
  • Coordinate case management activities, including calendaring hearings, deadlines, and litigation logistics.
  • Gather and analyze information from multiple sources to support case strategy and preparation.
  • Support trial teams and facilitate communication between internal and external parties.
  • Assist with settlement preparations and prepare exhibits for motions, hearings, and trial.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing deadlines, and consistently produce quality work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to handle high-volume workloads, manage competing deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Resourceful problem-solver with a flexible, proactive approach to changing business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
